Default RCMC Singapore Donation Drive - East Coast Parkway Track 20ft Pit Area Container

Donation Drive – 20ft Pit Area Container

The RCMC consists of members and volunteers who aspire to make radio control car racing accessible, fun, social and well-organized in Singapore. We are aided in this endeavor by our patron, the Peoples Association’s Marine Parade Community Club (MPCC).

Our track in the East Coast Park is very special due to its large, fast flowing and technical layouts; year around sunshine; reasonable membership dues; affiliation with FEMCA/IFMAR and proximity to NPARKS facilities and infrastructure.

The track is 20 years old this year, and it’s now been 6 years since the last successful track development drive, which saw a resurfaced track and increased facilities for racers and mechanics. To take the track into its next 20 years, we are seeking to raise monies from RCMC members for our collective racing interest! Projects we are looking to execute are:

• Increased pit area waterproofing and environment
• Kerb reshaping to better protect cars from off-track mistakes
• General track dressing and general maintenance

To raise monies, we are asking members, as individuals or in groups, to commit to a donation to RCMC. The largest donation will allow them exclusive use of a 20ft container for a period of three years beginning from 9 June 2018, subject to the Terms and Conditions for the use of the Container (Attached).

We are accepting donation commitments during the remainder of May 2018. All donation commitments will be kept secret and confidential until the deadline of 11:59pm, Thursday 31 May 2018. There is no minimum donation amount, but any amount deemed below the market rental value of $12,000 per year for a 20ft container may be rejected as insufficient by the RCMC.

Please keep in mind the goal is fundraising for track renewal and we hope to see members getting together and being generous, so we can keep the track going and evolve for future events.

Only at the deadline of 11:59pm, Thursday May 31st, 2018 will all donation commitments be made known to the RCMC Committee. Assuming the amounts are sufficient, the container will be awarded by the Committee as follows:

A. Highest donation – existing 20’ container for 3 years.
B. Second highest and other lesser donations – no obligation to donate unless the member(s) is still willing to make their donation.

Please note that RCMC will collect an amount equivalent to 2-years of the committed donation from the individual/group with the highest committed donation.

To make a donation please follow the following steps:
1. Request the Donation Commitment Form from [email protected] or via Facebook or RCTECH.
2. List the full names of the member(s) involved in the donation, and who the nominated lead member will be. Please provide the contact number of the lead member.
3. State your combined donation amount and commitment to pay this amount upfront before June 8th 2018.

NOTE: Where to send the form to will updated shortly

Please email [email protected] if you have specific questions, or just post a comment below. We’ll get back to you ASAP.

With Kindest Regards,

Your RCMC Singapore Team
