Wow...it's a nice looking track but $10 for practice and $20 to race!?!? Plus a required ROAR membership ($30 for a year). I think they were smoking the grass in addition to planting it around the track.

On second thought, is that green stuff in the pics grass or Astroturf? Either way, they were hitting something good......

dude, its some kind of astroturf......it's different when you go there and complain about the fee. I was also shocked when I saw the fee in the website. But when I went there, I saw the fee being put to good use....it's well worth the bucks.

The fees are what keep the track maintained and to pay for the staff to take care of the track. the astro turf is a lot better than hitting boards. I think its great that there are more permanent tracks on the West Coast. I for one will be going down there to race.

When I was in college, I worked at Hobby Shack and then at SoCal. You'd be shocked at the number of people that bitched about paying $7 to race a Hobby Shack race where they're practically guaranteed a prize worth that much or complain about $10 for an indoor track at SoCal.

Personally, I might pay $20 to race but then I'd just go there 1/3 as often. Gas guys might pay it because they have very limited options but they've priced themselves right out the electric racer market IMO.

People who bitch about paying to race or practice should just go somewhere else ....like there own garage or somethin'...if you can't afford it....just watch......it's business......if you were the one who payed for the land and the asphalt ...I think you would charge people to practice......it's the Nature of the Beast.

I think it's gonna be like Crystal Park , dude. Touring car, on road 1/10 and 1/8 , and especially 1/5 scalers I think they're gonna start racing next month, November.....I heard they're still waiting for their timing equipment...I heard they are going to use the KO timing system.
