Default Surikarn Goes Hotbodies/HPI

SURIKARN GOES HOTBODIES
Surikarn joins Hot Bodies and will drive HB cars as well as HPI's. This means that HPI-ORION ‘based' team will further strengthen their super strong driver's line up. Surikarn will drive HPI Pro4 and join his new racing team for the very first time at this upcoming weekend JMRCA Japan National EP Touring at Kawaba RC Plaza.

This move also brings back together the ‘original' winning combo of “ex-TRF414”. Masayuki Miura, who is probably better known as Surikarn's mentor- ex-TRF414 test driver/ developer, has joined Hot Bodies almost two years ago and Mr. Yasui, the designer of TRF414 has joined even earlier.

It would be nice to know but I would think it's more to do with working with Masayuki Miura again

When Miura left Tamiya for HPi a few years back there was rumors he would join him there then but i guess he felt obliged to run for Tamiya for a few seasons seen as they supported him and helped him to his world title.

Alan left a msg for you on the tamiya eurocup f1 forums.

I am sure it is not money.....this is RC racing, not NASCAR or F1 racing.....
Beside, I don't think you can compare HPI to Tamiya....Tamiya is way bigger in any aspect over HPI, so, paying the driver more then any other MFR is not Tamiya's problem.

Looks like the HPI team is getting pretty loaded with talent. Small in number but big on results. Two cars in the top 3 at the worlds and now this addtion...pretty sweet for HPI.

Yeh i agree. Loaded with talent ( eg. hara , daisu. , now Surikarn )

what worries me the most is, its becoming the opposite for tamiya, is it not?

Only Surikarn and Miura have left recently, they have been replaced by Graverson, Mark Fisher and Marc R who have all come to the front of the Tamiya team. Rick
