Larry....The Track in De Kalb is what will be formerly known as AJ's when its under new ownership. Shane and Mike are going to put a lot of time and effort into the place and Im sure it will be one of the better tracks in our area....New Carpet....Re Designed track and pit area....its going to be a nice place for all us displaced RSJ and Chicago area racers.

I think after some of the things that transpired with the last series Hurricane wanted to completely redo the series and try a new format. There is room for the series to grow and if this series is successful then I would almost guarantee that more tracks would get added in subsequent series. There wasn’t anything personal with the tracks or the drivers in the Green Bay area there is just a new type of format. They just wanted to go in a new direction and see how everything worked out. If this format does not work out then next time it will have to be reworked once again. Its hard to please everyone all the time and this was what Hurricane thought was a good way to start out with the new series. They are fully aware that not having a race in G.B. area would maybe keep some guys away, but at the same time they choose to go this route with the new series. The goal of this new series is not to deter or p-off anyone or group of guys but to have a great series that is fun and very competitive to all to participate in and enjoy. I hope that the guys in the G.B. area don’t stay away from the series and I hope that there will be a stop in G.B. with the next series.

I personally like the schedule as with RSJ gone this series will still be relatively close, that drive to Green Bay sucked last year.

This is a new series not the old series so some changes have occurred. Hurricane went with what they thought were the best choices for their series. I think the biggest races last year were RSJ and Trackside but that’s not the point. This is a whole new series with a new schedule and new tracks and new leadership. The schedule was not put in place with any sort of malice or ill intent for the guys in the GB area, it just the way it is. People can read into it all they want as they do but any harm or anything was not the case with the new series.

This series sounds awesome, i heard great things about it from some of the guys i race with and i am glad this series is making 2 stops in the soon to be totally awesome intense raceway park. I know those guys are working hard each weekend to get the indoor track ready for carpet racing. The new setup of the series and track schedule is really awesome. Thanks Brad and the rest of the Team Hurricane guys for including my home track ( Intense Raceway ) in the series, and for also setting up this series to help the growth of the hobby and bringing it to another level year after year.
