I'm down for TC Modified and 19t.

A few people are interested in a 12th scale Modified class. If there's anyone else interested please post here; it'd be nice to see a good heat of those.

Thanks Anthony for starting a thread. Looks like this years Sizzler is going to be SMOKIN! Lots of guys will be attending. We will be racing the 2 Sundays before the Sizzler. July 17 & July 24. We will also have practice all day on Friday July 29th from 11am untill 6:30pm. Practice fee is $6.00. I invite everyone to break out the carpet cars and join us for our annual Summertime SIZZLER.
I have to give props to someone who back in March said Scotty when is the Sizzler?
Big thanks goes out to Russ Shacht! He is the one who thought about the Sizzler far ahead of me this year. He got me to set the date and he made of the flyer. Thanks very much Russ!
If anyone has any question, please leave a post. I don't want to say I will answer. Most likely my bro Boomer will be there as always for me.
Take care,
CYA at the Sizzler

There are a few of us coming up from Cleveland this year. Anything special we might need to bring for the pit area i.e. extension cord, chairs, etc.?

You might want to bring along a fan. The track is not air conditioned and it can get pretty warm in July. We have some big industrial fans moving the air around but a nice small fan blowing on your noggin could be really helpful.

Hopefully someone local can answer your question. I'm guessing there should be since many people stay nearby when they run the Novak Race.

You shouldn't need extension cords or chairs...maybe just throw a power strip in your box. The pit area is pretty well lit but you might want to use a small lamp still.

Oh yea...any small fan or cooling device :P LOL

And note...Wisconsin state police and sheriffs are like madmen...everytime I go to Trackside I see atleast 2-3 guys pulled over and another 2-3 police trying to be sneaky with the radar gun.

It's pretty nuts...as soon as I hit the border I'm all about the speed limit and I'm the PO PO!! LOL

At this race, will things like minimum weight, ride height, body height, etc. be teched/enforced? And is there a spec tire for the rubber class, or is it open tire? I've yet to drag myself up to Trackside, and this sounds like a good excuse. Have to see if I can make it on the 30th now...

I think ride height and weight will probably be teched. Spec tire at trackside are CS27's.

Fuzzy: Pits are well equiped, just bring an outlet strip with enough slots for your devices. Every pit space has one electrical outlet for each racer, chairs are provided, but bring you own fan there is no ac in the pits, just the store.

Juan: Plan on tech for ride height, weight. Rubber tires are preglued cs27's.

Trackside is a well equipped hobby shop, most common parts are available, outside of California, you'll be hard pressed to find a better selection of RC stuff. CS 27's appear to be in short supply right now, don't count on availability, bring your own if at all possible. You Cleveland guys should get the opportunity to take on the Sobotka (the last cleveland stock winner). Track is appox. 50 x 100. Friendly crowd, ask if you are in need of the special item, someone will probably oblige.

Hotels: I don't think Scotty has arranged for any special rates for the summer sizzler. Several hotels are within a couple miles of the track, all good neighborhoods, so just search around for your best deal.
