just put a fioroni sliding slita clutch ut-50/52 on my mayhem

what a relief against commun clutches with 3 springs !

just screw on the flywheel/nut, fits like a glove
slip on 2-3 ringsprings in the shoes, slip on the shoes
3 mins. work...and drive
for a long time ....

and clutchbell get's to the middle of the ringgear too

Ive been having a problem with my clutch screw coming out during a race and losing a clutch bearing.

I am sure it has happened to everyone at one time or another. Take the screw out and clean with carb or engine cleaner and remove all grease & oil. Put a very small drop of blue loctite on it and I mean very small and let set over night. It will still come out but only when you want it to.

Default Body not quite fitting on rear body mount

Anyone had this problem of the body not quite fitting on the rear body mount. I have the Mayhem pro with the hopup round torque rods so the chassis is very stiff.

Default loctite

For any new mayhem driver out there I has problems with screws coming out after each run. I pulled an all nighter and put loctite on every screw in the buggy and now they only come out when I want them to. they should do this from the factory.

body not fitting....

I had the same problem after having mounted the new torquerods
..the chassis was bend banana-like on them..

I just remounted them, losening the screws and pulling on the chassisends a bit
and all is well now

Default New Turmoil - competitive or not?

I am hearing that for the money the Turmoil will be top dog in terms of hop ups for the dollar. I love my mayhems but they seem to have lost thier luster ver the last couple of years in terms of people racing and winning. Do you think the turmoil is enough to make it very competitive?

I'm needing a set of the carb inserts for the Sportwerks .21 AND a manual for the Mayhem/Mayhem Pro. Anybody know how/where to order these? Anybody want to sell theirs (you don't use inserts do you? ).

Feel free to PM me.

Thanks,

Scottrik

Just picked up a slightly used mayhem buggy and was wondering what spare parts would be the best to keep on hand. Thanks

Hi Everyone,

I ordered the Trumoil RTR and was wondering if anyone knows a better delivery date than "the end of May" per Horizon? I really want to get some practice in with it before my season starts.

Also, I did some research and found many hop-ups and optional parts for the RTR version. How does the old RTR compare to the current Turmoil RTR? Does the new Turmoil RTR get some of the Pro stuff?

And lastly, I understand there's a new motor in this. It's spec'd out as a .26V2. I called Horizon, but they didn't really answer my question about what's new in the motor besides some porting and the connecting rod. Does anyone have any other information about his engine?

I did some more research and noticed the FCG chassis. "Forward Center of Gravity" I would think this will really make this thing turn (depending on how much forward it moved). I assume the diff fluids will change accordingly for this too. I'm trying to find out what should be revised, if anything because I won't have much time before my series starts.

Does this mean the previous Mayhem driveshafts from the center differential won't fit? Also, will only Turmoil bodies fit?

Default Turmoil

I have the Turmoil and this car handles completely differant than the Mayhem. The Turmoil is much more suited for 1/8th scale competetive racing. The new engine is very fast also.

what are the biggest difference you've noticed between the 2 brian? have they changed any of the suspension geometry at all or just moved things around on the chassis?

Moved things around on the chassis has been the biggest differance along with the rear anit squat chims. ( I run 1 1/2 deg. ) and the NEW steering ackerman plate. A ton of other componets have been beefed up to ensure reliability. The car is good...
