As contact has mentioned above about races not being held up for lipo uses, i would suggest atleast getting two lipo's for the meeting if you are thinking of running them. I have tried with one but could not find enough time between heats to allow for battery cooling and recharging.

As far as I believe the weight limit will be 1525 (including transponder) for all EP classes.
As Scott says too, highly recommend getting 2 LiPO packs for racing. However... with how much runtime you get you could almost get away with two runs in 19 turn with a 4800-5000mah LiPO (not that I've tested that theory).

Hmm i doubt it would make it, i use about 2800 a run i think
Actually just looking at my chargers they only put in 2200-2400 so they might last although i dont know how lipos fade compared to nimhs.

They dont
You will find they will hold voltage until they are almost flat, then they will drop all of sudden to nothing.Usually though you would set up a voltage cutoff to stop the motor etc when the volts fall below a pre-determined level in order to protect the cells.
I have yet to experience Lipos myself, so all this is just passing on what I have heard, and my experience with Lipos used in other electronic devices.

Yeh, you definately want to play it safe and get a speedy (or module) that has a LiPO mode or voltage cut off. I know the LRP Sphere speedies come out of the box in NiMH/Lipo Mode (with voltage cut off) and I think that some of the later Novaks have them, so best to be safe with LiPos.

Well i would say so but that would be the reason for allowing lipo in the first place no ? To try to introduce a new era of racing as the we have seen with the rules for previous winter nats. If you cannot get lipo's there are other classes to enter
