Default Fyshwick (Canberra) Track/Performance RC

Hey people,
Rob, Ed, and Rob here from Performance RC Fyshwick...
I think its about time we got online here and tell you folks whats going on as there is a lot of speculation about the track out here!

Anyway first thing, our website has been hanging around since before christmas and is being updated very soon, so try to ignore most of whats on there

Ok and on Thursday we are hoping to get interested people out here to test out the track and check out the shop we have built...

Whats going on thursday?-
We are hoping to get transponders happening before then, but may not be able to, but if you have a personal we can register that...
The races we are planning to run are 540, but if there is enough demand for the other classes we can run them too... its a pretty open night... (minis go off on the track)

Entrance will be $10, which should give you
3 runs at a hotlap (over 4 laps), the results will give you a position for the finals...
Finals should be 6 - 8 cars per group (which will be interesting!), however we can respond to your input on the night).
The night will be going till its over, so we might run some other classes depending on numbers...

We will give away a prize for the 540 (top 3 qualifiers) which will be decided on the night depending on how many people are entered...

We may then be able to run some trial stock and mod runs we will see how we go for time but bring your 540 and your gears.

We will have food and drinks (cold soft drinks)

We are working on providing more work tables (currently have room for about 16 people)... so throw a table and chair along just in case...

The night will be starting about 6pm, till when we are done...

Oh and we are thinking of having the drifters out on a seperate night (track is very good for it), so we let that group know more when we have a night for them.

Oh and in regards to the track type-

Fast, tight, very very grippy (special surface) average 2 meters wide, 8 turns (mainly right turns), average lap time so far been about 10.5 seconds, but there has been a change in the track (longer) so that might change...
Roll out between 30 and 40 you work it out!!!! it is fast and tight.

Will be very interesting to see what you guys can do on the night...

Where are we?
4/75 Wollongong St Fyshwick,
its on the right side (jaycar side) in the same area as "Framing Master", drive down the end of that driveway and you should find us there (We dont have signs just yet but we should have the roller door open and be easy to find!).
Plenty of parking

Anyway hope to see you all out here, should be an excellent night, and should all be looking forward to it...

We are running another trial race night with a different format this thursday from 7:00pm till late.
Classes will include beginner, 540, stock and mini.
We will be runing 3 five min qualifiers with 4 cars on the track and 2 seven min finals with 6 cars on the track.
We are planing to run a season point score with multiple classes and prizes for the end of the season held every second week and every first week we will be holding a one class only prize night.
We hope to have a 6 month race calender up on our web site soon so please get out here on thursday and have your say.
We will ad a mod class if we get interest in a control or open class but we would like all those who want to run mod to give us there thoughts.
maybe we can come up with a good mod class in the future?
we hope to be open and start runing in two weeks from now.
That is it for now.

see you all tomorow
rob
