the steering wipers are a bit brittle and sensitive to over tightening or being loose. it is advisable not to use too much spacers to increase the ball connectors height as it adds stress. the steering assembly needs to be upgraded immediately when available!

also kpi knuckles are a must. 3Racing should have included it in the kit instead of a hopup. it would have been nice for them to just replace them for free as it is a stupid design in the first place!

I'm waiting on the 3Racing slide rack system myself.

I have improved my car each week from just tuning the suspension to the point where it ALMOST looks like I know what I'm doing.

Obviously I lack a ton of skill as this is my first RWD drifter.


Does anyone know a decent pack of springs that fit this car? I'm unsure whether to buy 50mm or 55mm springs as I'm at work and I dont have the car in front of me. What's the stock spring size? I want to go softer in the rear.

Troy: the steering has enough slop that I could hold one wheel and wiggle the other wheel several degrees before the one in my hand wanted to move. This would cause the trailing wheel to be able to move enough to rub on the lower control arm and cause me to spin out. I have tuned it enough so nothing rubs but the steering slop is still there. It's not a MAJOR issue, it's just an annoyance. For an entry level kit in this price range it is to be expected. I wouldn't expect it to be as precise as a 500 dollar yokomo or MST. - you get what you pay for.

Verdict: good enough to get you sliding, but takes some tuning to get you sliding well.

I'll try to document my changes as I go along with the build as best I can for those curious.

still waiting on parts, had some time to kill and installed active suspension on the front and rear. the front does not seem like it will stay on, it feels like it will break the TRF dampers due to some steering vibrations.

Can anyone tell me what the wheelbase is for this chassis? Or if it can be built for multiple wheelbases?

I've looked all over the internet but darned if I see it listed anywhere.

on the RWD manual it clearly says 250mm wheelbase.

I got tired of waiting for the "Slide Track Steering" so I ended up buying the CNC aluminum version of the steering system from eBay ($13, I believe) and they are perfect! The only thing though is that the bearings it came with weren't smooth. I ended up using the stock bearings the kit came with. They fit perfectly. I also removes the 4 tiny screws on the front and my steering now snaps back and forth very fast.
