2014 HEI and Ryper Hobbies AARCMCC Australia 10th EP Off Road Tasmanian Titles – 21/23 Feb

Goodwood Off-Road Model Car Club Inc. is proud to announce the second running of the AARCMCC sanctioned state titles for 10th EP off road in Tasmania. This event will score points towards the IFMAR qualifying for 2WD and 4WD mod. Dates at this stage are TBC, we are awaiting confirmation from AARCMCC.

If you haven’t seen Tasmania before, it would be a great time to bring the family over and have a look around after the event. If you bring your car on the boat it is a 3 hour drive south to Hobart. You can also fly direct to Hobart for as little as $170 return from Melbourne, with a 20-25 minute drive from the airport to the track. You can find more details on the entry form and we’ll provide more info as it comes to hand.

Entries Close: 7th February

Friday 21 Feb: Open Practice until 4pm
Saturday 22 Feb: 2WD Stock, 2WD Mod, Stadium Truck
Sunday 23 Feb: 4WD Stock, 4WD Mod, Short Course Truck

Control Tyres:

Buggies - AKA Rebars Soft for all driven wheels (2WD, 4WD)
Short Course Truck - AKA Gridiron Soft for rear, front open.
Stadium Truck Pro Line Scrubs MX rear, fronts open.
AKA tyres come with red closed cell inserts, ST tyres come with white open cell foams.

Yeah thanks, I had a good 2yrs at the last two State Titles at Latrobe and the best I did was 7th place in Sportsmann Buggy Final!!

It will be good to try something else for a change!!

I'm sure the interstaters that will be travelling to the event wouldnt mind a little extra track time on the Thursday... Maybe thats why its closed??? Hahaha ;-)
Should we expect the same high traction sugared surface as was presented last year?

Yeah the track will be prepped with sugar and traction should be high.
We have trouble keeping our track together over the weekend, that's why we need to keep it closed on Thursday, otherwise the track would be a mess on Sunday.

Kinda hoping for a date change, I am in hobart that weekend, but for the Pure Bride Expo for our shop, as I was last year when I managed a flying visit. How do both events pick the same date 2 years running!

That's my point, I will be in town, but working a major Bridal Expo at Princess Wharf No.1. Might be able to wrangle setting up the night before, that morning and race the day though
