Hey guys, just keep going which is a better brand, I'll see who says the many brand here and that for me will base it that that's the best brand so far...

we have the same ESC... and i'm using lipo. if its one of the earlier generation GTBs just dont run your batteries till they drain... or get a smart lipo cut-off from pitshop.

Check out Thunder Power cells. They are very high discharge rate and use them to power HUGE power systems. The Extreme cells are very good and they have an even higher discharge pack coming out called the "V2"

xanavi: get orion lipos, i think theyre still available in our lhs (pitshop) ive had mine for almost a year with zero problems...

...other than running out of places on my chassis for lead weights to make the weight limit for our races

i top off in between heats for 19, 23, and 27t races (i used it only 2x in mod, but i cant handle the speed so im going back to spec classes ) i dont use a balancer. i use just one battery for the day.

just for the heck of it, i checked to see if the cells are still balanced. using a digital voltmeter (im not sure if this is the most accurate, but ive been using it for a while and it works fine), i found that each pair of cell is at exactly 4.011 volts never needed balancing for almost a year. but i do plan to get a balancer in a couple of months, just to be sure

You are a NUT!

In all honesty, anything that isnt an Ebay Special. I've always had excellent luck with my Maxamps, so for the dollar and output, I have to say Maxamps 6000. Now, if I would have come on with some of the "my pack is the best because I say so" llike some of these other people, the flamers would have come out. Best thing, check the cycle life, burst output, constant and sustained numbers...then peep this:Guinness World Record Holder- 24 Hour Enduro....nuff said The others are encased and bullet proof, yea yea yea, but they are also more expensive with lower Mah. My Pro4 got run over by a regular 1:1 and nothing happened to the pack. SO.............

I guess my question would be: should I get 2 orion 3200 packs or 1 platinum 4800 pack? Same total price from our hobby shop. I do mostly 23turn stock racing which last as long as 8 minutes per heat.

money allowing, get the 4800. One pack in 23turn will last you for at least 3 races without even worrying about putting it on the charger. In between heats, you can pop it on, get a few more volts and go all day. OR, you can get the 3200's, keep one for pratice and the other to catch wreck. Either way, you wont go wrong.

Xanavi: 3200s are priced PhP4000+ while 4800s are 6600+ i believe. If ever, two 3200s would probably cost just a little more than one 4800. Then again, maybe I remember wrong.

Do you have the Trakpower Lipo 7.4v 4900mah gold car pack? I was looking at that at Tower. Does it fit well in a car? I assume it has a hard case? Also is the Trakpower V-Balance Pack balancer a good buy? Would the pack last me through 3 heats and a main with a 13.5?

trakpower is the best really.

and it is not made by duralite.

it holds over 7V under 110amps load.

Trackpower rocks!

Yup it has a hard case, and in the most recent enduro I entered (running 13.5 BL) got 25 minutes at full power, with no fade, then my radio (Nomadio sensor -which monitors the packs voltage) started beeping at me to notify that its voltage was starting to drop. I havnt got a balancer yet as the cells still display the same voltage, but may get one in the future.

During a 5 min race, the lowest the packs voltage drops is to about 7.3v. it varies between 7.3 to 7.5 depending on track and gearing.

Ive had an orion aswel, cant fault it either, both are exactly the same dimentions, and fit the Jrxs-R perfectly.

would it last you 4 races? probably, but it would still be better to top it up between races.

1 pack, 6 races per day, no equalising or discharging ...... pure bliss
