Default Lets get back on track

Okay guys enough of the environmental debate and the price of gas. If you go on about this then there's even more to talk about such as:

Rapid industrialization and pollution of developing nations(ie China, S/E Asia)
Deforestation in developing third would regions. (S. America, S/E Asia, Africa)
MTV(All those videos motivating the whole world to have a pimped Hummer with spinners)

And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...................

So next person please. How old where you and how did you get started in RC?

You are right, although this would be something worth to discuss.

I'm 42 and started R/C Racing in 1984 when they took my lisence for speeding.

Gotta drive SOMETHING, right?

I'm 17, started it this year's march with a Serpent 710. Ans i'm hooked since.
Go to the track twice a week to do as many laps as possible. Ans it's really paying of. I drive on the Heemstede track, i do laps of 17,0. The real pro's(national, european level) do 16.0-16.5. So i'm really happy with how it's going right now. it's also very funny, because i just started i only come to the track with a backpack and my car in my hand. Ans i easily beat all the guys who got their entire 1:1 cars packed with stuff.
Didn't won any trophies yet, because on my track you only get a trophy when you come in first. And every time i come in second
But next season i'm gonna get a trophy

Here, when they take you license, you're driving nothing!

It's either walking or the bus

Why all Taxis in Germany are 99% Mercedes Benz ? I think Mugen Seiki are Mercedes Benz for Radio Control cars.

BTW, German people are nice and friendly to foreigners, just like people in the land of the free

They are using Mercedes for Taxis, because in the past they built the most reliable Diesel with the lowest fuel consumption.

Also, we have very strict regulations for taxis. They have to be in excellent technical condition and they have to be in great shape, interior and exterior, otherwise they won't keep their license.

Some of these cabs clock up to 2 Million kilometers.

At first, I don't think Germans are as friendly as Americans, but once they are, they mean it!

You do know that Autobahn means Highway. Therefore all our highways are Autobahnen.

A lot of people think it is just a special road somewhere.

I think for the first time you wouldn't find it very funny to drive there.

We had a lot of GI's close to where I grew up and you could tell who had just arrived. The ones that drove in the right lane , very slow, looking scared...
