Some tuning advice needed.............
Summer is coming so it is getting hotter. I have leaned my low end out a little to compensate but it is still loading up on fuel and dieing really easy when I give it gas from a standstill or really slowly. Any leaner and she starts to get too hot.
I an running a Novarossi #7 plug mayby I need a hotter plug?
It is a RTU MT12 engine...............
Just want to get some ideas before I go buying some more plugs..............

its all over now..!! I took the Kyosho collar out and put the RB collar back in. Now the clutch bell is not as loose as b4. There is about 0.5mm freeplay which i think is normal.
One thing though, i cant use the 3mm washer as indicated in the manual (it will bind the clutch bell as its thicker), instead i use another smaller washer (available in the pack) which cover only 3/4 of the bearing. Now, do u think dirt will get into the bearing?
cheers mate

a M8 is not a cheap radio, i would get a lynx FM it costs about $80 and it has some good features, I woulsn't get a RB x12 pipe that thing is way too fragile, get a RD logic pipe, it looks like the rb x12 pipe and work like it and it's not that fragile, if you don't like the stratus body then get a lola body for your car

When i used the kyosho collar, there is still a gap (like 0.1mm) between the flywheel and crankcase...so i didnt try it.
Now i have changed to the RB collar and everything is back to normal. Freeplay is only 0.5mm i guess!
BTW, r u running RB X12 as well ? If so, could u check your clutch bell if there is freeplay or it just sit tight ?
Another thing, i found a circular mark on the flywheel which matches the clutch bell size. Do u have that on your flywheel?
OR is it something wrong with the clutch or something else...?
cheers

I run a standard shaft and when the manual says something weird and you do it and it doesn't look right on your car then i will go by my own instincts cause you are not putting a engine that was made for the car, like the v one s, it comes with an engine which the the car was design to go with that engine, what i'm saying is that the engines are different and you have to use your own judgement cause the manual doesn't give directions on every engine that was made and how to hook it up
plus i have a different car
plus i have a different car

Use the Kyosho collet. Use the 5x7 shims to space the bell so it will not rub on the flywheel.
I did this same installation on my first voner and things work as they should. The 7x11 washer may be needed if you have too much end float, unfortunately you may need to trial fit the whole assembly a few times, do not take short cuts here. I have seen crankshafts ruined by poor assembly of the clutch.
