Default That's cheap!!

What do you guys think for a Yokomo RTR-GT-4 for $199 shipped.

http://www.ultimatehobbies.com//l133.html

I mean I have no affiliation with Ultimate hobbies but my LHS said that's below wholesale. I know Yokomo is coming out with a new car soon. For someone just starting out I think that's a hella of a deal. Thinking of getting one for my 10 year old son. To get him in NITRO. What do you think?

i spoke to people in microrcshop because they had all yokomo parts 50% off, they told me that they are getting rid of the stuff because new car is coming out. all i have to tell u id watch out, dont get caught in the situation where u cant find the parts for the car.
the car is a hell of a car for the beginner. has tons of potential

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I mean I just sold a Yokomo Gt-4 Hopped on ebay with tons of extra parts. But my son is itching to get one of my other 1/10 cars. I not giving up the MTX-3 or the others. I mean the Yokomo RTR is a good starter car. But like you said is parts going to a bitc$. I was thinking that Yokomo is gotta a lot of GT-4 pro's and RTR already out there that they would still supply parts.

The car is a little dated but man $200. I have an extra Futuba FM JR Magnum and put a battery pack some grp's or mono tires and he's good to go. The .18 was a decent engine. Ahh what the heck he deserves it. The kid is busting his butt on grades and me and the ex just went through an ugly divorce. YEAH he's getting one. I did however notice on the add that it expired yesterday. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see.

I think Yokomo will support the car for a while even though a new car is coming out. They know they have a lot of racers and RTR owners out there and I doubt they'd leave them out in the cold. MicroRCShop was having a blowout sale because everyone was jumping on the other bandwagons. It doesn't make any sense for a internet based company to have parts for a less popular car. However, I noticed since Hobby People now sells the RTRs that they seem to have lots of parts.

You can always buy from Steve at Speedtech RC. He is always quick with the order and ussually can get what he doesnt have from Yokomo. Yokomo part prices are great too.
