i found this with my RC8B what fixed it was getting better quality drivers, if you use cheap ones the tips just slightly round off allowing the hex in the screw to round out. I now use the metric Losi race wrenches and looks to of solved the problem

i had that issue as well. i bought countless packs of screws and thought that was the problem. then my lhs talked me into a set of dynamite drivers and have not had that problem since. the quality drivers are made of drill stell so they do not round off at the end. it only cost around $20. i spent more in screws than that.

Same. I was using some drivers that were regularly stripping screws. I ended up buying the Associated hex driver set (7 pieces) and haven't looked back. It's all about the tools.
I would say the problem is a combination of less-than-accurate cheap drivers, soft screws and simply using the wrong tool. I was using a 2mm driver on the smaller countersunk screws (like the ones used on mount the shock tower to the diff case). The associated set doesn't actually come with a 2mm driver, but a 5/64" driver. The difference? About .006 inches. Doesn't seem like a lot, but maybe just enough. The odd thing is that the Associated set also includes a 1.5mm for set screws and 2.5mm.

FYI, the new Pro-Line tools are awesome, I have the hex-ball ends in 2.0 and 2.5 and tightened engine mounts with them. I am amazed they have not snapped yet.

I've been using Losi hex wrenches for about five years now, never failed me. Good tools make all the difference but don't underestimate importance of good quality hardened screws either. Just like tools, different screws are not made equal.

Dynamite has been good for me. I have alot of cars and can go 2 years before having to grind them down.
