Default Reciver Q (Novak XXL specific)

Right... done a search, and no results turned up for this.

I have a XXL in my 415... however the ariel is about 5" too long (ie loads stick out the end of the ariel tube).
Can I chop some of this off (say 2") without affecting the reception? Or am i better coiling it up close to the reciver? or just leave it as is?

Thanks in advance.
Ed

Do not cut the receiver wire, it will hurt reception. Your best off letting it hang out the top of the tube
