I was about to say:
I don't have one to offer, but looking at the final drive ratios for the night-crawler, a 17.5T or 18.5T would be MUCH better.
I have an 18.5T in my high-lift, and the first gear is similar to a middle-of-the-road ratio on the night crawler, and it is actually quite slow. A 21.5T would be BRUTALLY slow.
here's my truck for reference: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGIGVOhK0ak
My truck is running something close to a 65:1 ratio
The night crawler has anything from a ~100:1 ratio to a ~50:1 ratio.

Thanks for the info ! Ah I would totally take that 18.5t, but I'm looking for something with an ESC as well. Thanks though! BUMP!

Thanks for the info. I'm just getting into crawling and yeah the night crawler is already painfully slow with the stock motor haha I think the worm gears have a lot to do with it. I appreciate the help!

Look around for a 17.5T combo, it'd be easier to find, and close enough (I ran a 17.5T in a SCX10 before, and it was fine)
Because of the worm gears, you don't need drag brake, so any old ESC and motor will do.
