todd,

i know theres been a lot of speculation about a new losi tourer just wondering if you did go to production with it, how long do you estimate it would take for everything to be perfected and then the cars hit the shelves?

cheers

XXX-SBill/STLNST-Thanks for the update.

EA-I am a little confused on your question. Are you asking what does it do to the front arms as you move them back??

Hixsy-Its all SPECULATION!

No Todd...Im talking about how the front inner hing pin mounts have toe out...making the inner hinge pins at an angle to each other and not parallel to each other.

Thanks

Hodge,

EA is talking about arm sweep. Inboard toe out.

Todd-
I see you couldn't get all of the black marks and splinters out of your car from Dawson stoving your car into "Baker's Corner."

It was great having you at the Rain. Thanks for coming up. I had one question about the set-up that you ended with. How does the shimming the rear ballstud on the rear carrier affect the handing of the car? I know you wrote that article about running of foams on carpet but I never got my hands on it. Would love to read it, [email protected] if by chance you have it and could email it to me. Thanks again.

Todd,

I have measured all my Losi springs on a digital spring dyno. All with a 10mm defletion.
Here are the results in lbs/in:
yellow 9,34
10,09
rose 10,48
10,91
silver 11,63
11,21
green 15,70
15,91
green 15,15
16,11
violet 18,24
18,81
19,41
19,09
orange 7,88
7,57
red 11,23
10,81
10,67
11,25
blue 12,73
12,67

With all these different weights is worth to put our cars on tweak boards or on scales?

EA-I feel the car is smoother to drive with the toe out pins on the front. I have tried the straight front pins on my car and I thought my car was very hard to drive entering the turn.

RedRocket-Thanks...I had a blast in Seattle. Hope to make it next year. Shimming the rear ball stud just made the car react a little slower through chicanes. I also thought it gave the rear more side bite. I will forward that article to you ASAP.

gearless-You still need to put it on a tweak board....it just sounds like we need to start matching our springs before they go on the car. Did you remove the paint that joins the last coil on each end of the spring. At times that paint can cause stiffer spring rates since it is making the spring stiffer when there are different amounts of paint on that area.

Hey Todd,

Can you forward that article to me as well? After the Roar Regionals next weekend I'm gonna start running on foam again and it would be cool to have something to have as a good guideline. [email protected] Thanks Todd!

Hey Todd,

Do you still have your Asphalt Rubber Tire setup guide from RC Car mag a few months back? If you still have that, could you email it to me at [email protected]?

Todd,

If STLNLST gets it in tonight, I am going to let him tell you the main results from Stockton. He is one of our better track announcers...he, he...Far funnier than me.

Just found out that STLNLST means 'Still In Last'...another funny fact because the guy is fast...

James N. was there too...So, he could spill the beans...

He's probably too tired to come on here and post.
