Removing shaft from 4WD chassis
Hi knowledgeable guys!
Anyone tried removing the shaft from a 4WD chassis like TT01 or TB03 or E10 and make it into a 2WD? I thought it will become something like overdrive since only the rear wheels are spinning, but the car is very hard to control... going around in circles... any advices?

Get a Tamiya M04, it's designed to be RWD.

the roll resistance in the cvds are making the car less manageable. take them out too.
Make it more rear heavy-
If that does not help, abort attempt and buy a M04.

1/10 RWD
Look for a used TA03R or TA04. That might work better for you. Check the thread as well, if others have done a RWD conversion. Good luck!

CVDs? Stands for? If I take out the front gear differential, front gearbox, front propeller joint and the dogbones, the front will be very light. But will not be able to use drift tires if not the rear wheels will just roll on the spot.

did not understand that about the tires tho.
CVD stands for constant velocity driveshafts. also called universal driveshafts i believe or just unis.
