Yes 0.8 is standard on the pro kit, 1.0 module is on the sport and pro RTR.
When running 0.8, if your stuck you have the option of running Mugen or Kyosho pinions.

Problem is I only have Hong Nor part numbers, because OFNA renumber the parts I am not sure where you can go to get a list. Seems they dont want to sell any? lol. Maybe Ofna/Nitrohouse have a catalogue they can mail to you?

Hop-ups to think about:
Alloy lower arm holders, alloy sway bar mounts and the one-peice engine mount. I'm also running MTX3 wheel adapters.

rmdc1, Since the pro kit CD3 comes with 0.8 module gearing its not listed as an optional part but in the parts list. In order to find the .8 gearing you have to look under the LD3 option parts list page 4. See the link below. Hope this helps.

Thumbs up

Nice Jeremy, great headlight work, I'm very impressed. I saw Chris' shell too, very cool.

Default front one-way

I got a question. Will the front one-way diff from the LD3 fit the CD3?

Yes it fits. I did exactly that as i could not get the parts in Canada. I went on ebay and bought an ld3 roller. I now have a front diff instead of a one-way.

Just remember to open the diff case and switch the diff around 180 degrees or else the wheel rotation is in the opposite direction.

It fits yes, but operation will be reverse. If you use a LD3 one-way in CD3 (or CD3 oneway in LD3) -
"on power" you will only have rear wheel drive instead of 4wd.
"on brakes" it will be 4wd instead of rear only.

The one-way will be spinning the wrong way - it will be free on power and you don't want that. If you wanted to put a one-way in the rear you would use one from a LD3.

I keep having problems with the brake disc mount pins coming out and dragging on the brake mount. This problem occurs after several minutes of racing and slows the car down and sometimes stops it from coasting. I tried replacing the brake disc mount, and it still happens. I even glued the pins in with CA glue and that did not work. Is there an aftermarket part out there? Has anyone else come across this problem with their CD3? Please advise.

thanks,
three

I sanded down the pin and CA glued it to the plastic mount. It never came out.

Try Skyline pipes. To keep the stinger from bending, shorten it. Don't let the stinger extend farther out than the wheel axles.

Just as CL said get a Skyline pipe. FYI most of the good pipes are soft for weight purposes, so you will have to cut the stinger or stay off the wall. I had my stinger reinforced so it would not bend. I also changed the angle of the stinger to point more downward so I would not have to cut the stinger as much. I did this by drilling 3 new holes on the one piece pipe. See attached photo. Hope this helps.

Nope never seen that? My car has seen a total of many many hours of use and thats never been an issue. (including a 1 hour final a few weekends ago).

Though I do have a one-way so my braking power (and heat generated) is less, maybe if you have a front diff you are overheating the plastic mount and its stretching?

How hard is it for you to pull the pins out? When I converted from LD3 to CD3 I had to get long nose pliers and the pins where are quite snug.

CA glue being brittle may not the best thing. Since your having problems I would give shoegoo a go. Maybe roughen up the end of the pin also so it has something to grip on.
