If using Fast tires, 45 front and 40 rear is a good combination to try.
I am glad this thread is alive!!

I run mine with 17/22 and 47/42. That 42 Spur I got it from Japan, don't remember who makes it, but it's delrin. Equipped with the powerband from JP Black S5 and had I put wings on it, the car would have taken off the track.

Default MTX2 Help

Ok guys, I hope I dont sound stupid but I have problem I hope someone can solve. I need to know if any, what I need to convert my MTX2 sedan to an on-road car. Do they make a different bumper and front body posts to convert it to run on-road style bodies? Im looking to run 1/10 scale 4 wheel drive 200mm this year and need to know what to order so that I can run this class this season.

There are a couple of things you can do, first I know kawahara makes a lola front body mount for MTX2, and you can use that to accomodate Lola Body, Second you can also buy the Floating Mount for MTX2 made by AIP, they have it on Ebay. Third you can get Yokomo 32mm tires to get more rear traction and it works good with floating mount and lola body too!

ah10- the rear floating mount you talk about......If I wanted a new one where can I find one? And the 32mm tires in the back dont get hung up on the rear hubs? Theres enough space?

Hi Kurly,

I have converted my MTX-2 to on-road and have done exactly what ah10 said. For the 32mm rear tire, I use the one from Yokomo with the offset. There's no rub with the rear knuckle. The Floating Mount works really great along with Kawahara solid axle. FYI, I'm running 42/40 most of the time.

Is there a web site I can order these items from that you know about? I looked on speedtech and couldnt find the Kawahara parts or the AIP stuff. I know last year speedtech had alot of Kawahara parts but with the newMTX3 out I dont know how much theyll carry anymore.

not on Yokomo tires because they have 2mm offset so it will clear the rear hub! I have been running Yok tires on my MTX2 for the longest time I actually like them better because they are 41 shore multiring compound and they last longer then ellegi 40 shore!

the yokomo 32mm will fit but will not stay within the 200mm track width. Either use kawahara narrow rear or do like I did and just tighten the pivot balls all the way in
