This shirt is from 2010. Great racing that year.

Getting closer to the race. Please send in entries as soon as possible if you are now deciding to go. It helps the staff.

just take your 5 minute motors instead of taking all 10 engines. That should save a few lbs.

He can't blow up 2 if he only brings 1. He's planning ahead.

It is now officially Great Lakes Challenge week. Actually it started yesterday, but I was busy and didn't have an opportunity to post this. Track setup is going on through Wed with some open practice that day. Official practice will be Thu and Fri till noon. Qualifiers start at noon on Friday. Sat is qualifying and Sun is for the mains. The weather forecast improves on Wed and will be amazing through the rest of the event. If you still want to come and participate, you can. But don't try to send in your entry. Just come to the track and find the guys from 1/8th Racers that handle that and you are in. The deadline for Tee Shirts has past so the only way now to get one is to kill your neighbor in the pits and take his (just kidding) or maybe there will be some left over and you can purchase it. There will be announcements about that if there are some. If you paid for a pit space under the metal canopies, the club has been placing name placards on the tables, so look around for your name to see where you are at. There will be special places to park motor homes, campers and trailers. Please check in with the 1/8th Racers when you arrive to work out a space for your rig. Parking and drive through lanes are going to be a problem this years as there are piles of crushed concrete to the east where the parking for the mall was located. The area around those piles is pretty treacherous and can be very hard on the tires on your vehicle. So please be respectful of the other entrants when finding a place to park. We want to keep the vehicles away from the metal canopies as much as possible so that people can actually move through the pitting areas. Bring a chair if you can because we don't have enough for everyone. If you ordered fuel and tires, they are here. See Ted Hammer for that. Other that that, safe travels for all. It looks to be a great weekend.

I am taking 3 motors. I am not sure if any will make 5 minutes but I am pretty sure at least one of them will make and I am taking as many sets of tires as my bag will hold. Right now it looks like the attendance is not super strong so I should get plenty of track time. Looking forward to hitting the track.
