MBX5R and MBX5T what parts will I need to use a BCE chassis?
Hi all,
I have a BCE chassis on order for both buggy and truggy. Can someone please let me know what parts I will need to run the BCE chassis on both please.
I have seen a post by slow coach on mugen forum regarding longer CVD shafts but it wasn't to clear and I would like good quality parts to replace the good mugen ones if I have to.
slow coach what did you end up using mate?
Will the longer CVD shafts be needed for the truggy as well?
Do i need new front and rear shaft?
Thankyou all

thankyou for your replies guys! I will order the thunder tigers center shafts.
Will i need to replace the pin that goes from the shaft into the center diff outdrives? is it the correct length or does in chew out the center diff out drives?

For the truggy you dont need anyting, it is a direct fit. The chassis is only a few milimeters longer and the rear driveshaft goes in so far with the stock chassis that it still fits in there on the BCE.

havent got that far yet getting the 8T CVD this weekend so will let you know then, someone posted on the mugen board that they changed the pin out on the losi shaft as it was a bit short, im probably not going to bother with the TTR CVD, at the moment i have someone looking into the possibility of an older Mugen shaft being long enough, if he can find one then ill be all mugen, ill let you know the outcome

so i take it that the BCE shassis for the 5r is extended from the centre to the rear... how does this affect the handling, and also alot of ppl recomend the BCE chassis, do they have a special hardcoating treatment or something? or just made out of good materials?

all the mugen team ran the BCE chassis at the nats, its made from billet 7075 its slightly thicker than stock then milled to get the weight down stock is 315g the BCE is 280g the rear is extended about 5mm and the chassis is hard coated and it does look good havent tried it myself yet but from what replies i have seen from scott hughes and the rest of the team it works

Also take in account that the holes in your current body don't fit any more. Due to the extension of the chassis the position of the front body post changed slightly.
