Default ....tc3 running changes

Sorry. No new TC anywhere in site. The current car is still doing VERY well and, other than a few running changes, we don't see a need to produce a new one.

We have a few other projects that need working on first. As far as a 'new chassis', don't know about that, either.... Some of the drivers have been milling the chassis to 1) move the battery closer to the center line, and 2) install the Nitro TC3 rack. And I don't know if that is even going to BE a change in the kits.....
TPhalen/NTC3NUT,

when you say "rack", does that mean upper/lower A-arm, pivot ball and linkages? WOW!!! that would be great!!
They'd be improving on an already excellent car, cant wait!!

i think he mean just the steering rack from the ntc3 that guys are swapping into their tc3s instead of the stock steering rack.

If your in a tight spot on the bearings, use the original TC3 rack bearings in the top (small end) & 3/16 x 5/16 bearings in the bottom (big end). I checked at my LHS tonight & they are out of stock, they don't carry alot of nitro stuff in the off season.

mike_Webb: we should have the first production car done either tomorrow or monday. After that we have to do a little testing to make sure everything jives correctly and then it's it a go. I would say - barring any problems - maybe a release of a couple more weeks???? Maybe....

phatskeemz: I'm actually gonna put up - hopefully soon - the foam/carpet setup Travis ran this past weekend up in Stockton. I might post mine also....it was really, really good in 19T!!!

James: buddy, nice pitting across from you, also! Fun times. Hey, thanks for the use of the sauce.....I know we pretty much used it all!!!! Let me know if you need anything....I'll see what I can do to hook you up in return for the sauce.... And Pam never got our digits!!!! Although, Travis hooked up with the check behind us.... Keeps calling and calling and calling and calling....heh heh. Sorta scary!

I just put the dremel away after modifying my chassis to move the batteries closer to the center of the car. I filled the holes in the center of the car with steel-plastic epoxy (great stuff).

Hopefully it will make a difference although I wont be able to tell as we are going to be running foams now, having run rubber tires for as long as I can remember.

Tony, do you want my setup from stockton from this weekend? It was good enough for a 13.5 in the main. It would have done better with a better driver. I was way inconsistent driving wise so I could finish the main.

Dont worry about the sauce Tony, you guys came a long way to race with us Norcal guys and I didn't want you guys to be without sauce when I had like three cans of it . I'll let you know if I ever need anything.

Sure Jack. Nice meeting you, by the way. You can e-mail it to me at [email protected]! I'll get it up some time this weekend, if I can find the time!

Okey doke James. Thanks again. Much appreciated....

Default Please Help!!!!

Hello Guys!!! Greeting from Manila, Philippines!!!

I ordered the Associated Long and Short Outdrives Part#3912
These are the metal/steel outdrives.

Can I just use these to replace the plastic outdrives that came with my FT-TC3?? The Drive rings in the stock diff has some sort of a Letter D in the middle, but the long and short outdrives don't seem to be a match?

what will I do?? Help!!

Thanks

James, I've got your TQ orange! It ended up in my pit by the time everyone was packed up. I'll return it to you next time I see you. So you're the one who bought out all the sauce!

Hello lem2,
To convert from the plastic diff to the steel diff, you will need new diff rings (6579), wider diff bearings (6909) and a different lock nut (6575). Usually its easier and cheaper to buy the entire steel diff kit (3918)
