how to tell if it is v2 or v3 mamba ?
i was just woundering ...I just got around to opening the box of my 1/8 mamba speed control the box say's it is a v3 speed control via label on box .While i was going over the manual it mentions on seprate small peice of paper that this is a v-2 controller and and that the fan will not turn until it hit's 150 Deg .So what i am trying to figure out is how can i tell if it is a v2 or v3 mamba ?

just wondering about what turn motor it comes with
the higher the kv the lower the turn?

I thought the MMM V2's have the 6.5mm bullets on both the motor side and the battery side while the V3's only have bullets on the motor side. If I were you I would not open the MMM case. Why risk fate and voiding your warranty? The most important update is the V3 software which can be downloaded anyway.

both motors that castle will be offering are 1 turn in Y configuration, but don't pay attention to this number. The only differnce between the 2200 version and the 2650 is the length. The longer the motor (keeping everything else the same) the lower the kv, and the bigger gear it will be able to pull. Yes, lower turns = higher kv, but this is only valid when you are comparing two otherwise identical motors, only different number of turns.

You don't have to open the case just look thru the top at the fan. If the fan is very close to the grill it's an old one. The V3's fan has alot more clearance. Also if it says V3 on the sticker (on the box), it's a V3.
