I finished building the kit yesterday....I will try to make it out to a local track very soon and let you know.
Nothing happens in the thread anymore......hopefully more happens at the track.....already lost one carpet track, don't wan't to see another go in this area.

I think I am hooked on the EVO2, I am buying one as soon as I can. do you guys have a good setup for high trac ashpult.(socalraceway)? and for carpet how do I need to change the setup to get a starting point?
Thanks.
Thanks.

okay good, i am running the tensioner in the right place, lol.
i found though that it is too far to the driver's right, thus i placed a few shims to space it closer to the center, since the left of the belt was rubbing on the flange of the bearing in the stock position (unshimmed).
also i currently have figured out a nice carpet set up with the c-hub conversion (up front only though), incase anyone is interested, i have yet to race it, but it handles very well and in practice i have quite a bit of speed in the turns compaired to the other guys.

-how free are the draintrains when everything is broken in? my tc3 (with foam tires trued almost down to the rim) was able to spin for at least 5 seconds, and will rubber tires it was more like 15-20. i cant even get one rotation with foam tires, and albeit i have only run a pack or two.... but i noticed that the topshaft was kinda tight, but the entire rest of the drivetrain was very smooth, has anyone else noticed this?
-also is there any accurate way of measing the degree of the front sway bar? since its taking me a few tried to make sure both sides are even. and i would like a accurate way to measure how much angle i am actually running.
thanks!

After one week of racing on mine the wheels would spin about 5 revolutions before stopping. It was very free.

i dont want to sound offensive here or anything, but all of the springs you would run on carpet are "girly" colors. i would of liked to see a neon green, blue, yellow, etc instead of violet, or purple, which if you look at these colors in the manual one even looks like a pastelish pink, infact the colors of the three hardest of the original evo 2 springs looked liked they were copied from the Easter M&M's.
anyone else sorta possibly see where i am coming from here?
anyway, in the meantime i have been using TC3 springs, since i couldnt find a xray spring set, and they fit fine, and are actually the exact same size as the xray springs, or at least very close to.

Colors
Neon is way to 80's
Winning with these colors will even more show how masculin you are!

lol, maybe i should of said "flourescent". but think about it, when was the last time you saw a paintjob with these colors? the spring colors dont go with anypaint job, which i know is not a huge thing, but if i spend hours and hours painting a body, and then to have the springs stick out like a sore thumb...
#1590
Easy....just spray your springs the same colour as your shell!
