some of the sponsered drivers are testing the car at are local

there is a nice pix of it on their website and in my opinion the LD3 would be better than the NTC3.

I tell you what, I would really like to see one up close. I would like to see if they have improved on any of Associated designs. The picture on their website almost looks like some parts would be interchangeable. I wish they had a good pic of their pipe. I for one am glad to see another manufacturer pick up on a shaft design, even if it is similar.

shortyboy: thanx for giving us the heads up that they put up some pics. Its a good looking car. I don't know enough about the NTC3 to know if its an improvement or not, but its certainly another option for those looking at shaft and don't want the Tamiya or Associated cars.

Heres a look at it without leaving the boards:

It looks nearly exactly like an NTC3 with some upgrades.

Reinforced shock towers and diff cases
Battery BOX instead of using a zip tie (insignificant change)
Antenna goes into the receiver box instead of outside it. (insignificant change)
Gear diffs instead of ball diffs
Flat chassis instead of having bevels at the sides (insignificant change)

But this one isn't a new car, it's quite literally an NTC3 with stronger diff cases/shock towers and gear diffs.

I don't see their version of the rear exhaust pipe either?
It is currently only shown in side exhaust RTR, but I am sure a PRO kit and hop ups are right behind it

The original picture on their site was of a rear exhaust version. You could see the manifold and a little of the pipe. Looks just like a NTC3 exhaust at first glance. Maybe it will be a tuning option for us NTC3 owners. I just saw the photos of the RTR, looks good. Lots of features that are usually extra: 2-speed, fail safe, 3-shoe clutch, knock off Paris pipe, slide carb, ect..

I used to run an OB4 and the NTC3 rear toe system is more durable in stock form. The ofna plastic would strip in the arm. They made delrin ones that wouldn't but they were pretty salty, also don't under-estimate the importance of the upper arm stiffness in the back. The only thing I like about it is the gear diffs, which would make upkeep easier once you found a setting, another plus is ofna's nearly unlimited selection of spurs and pinions. Don't knock the quality; it's very high IMO, at least equal to AE. Ofna builds a lot of cars and they know how to do nitro. Wonder what the price will be? If they beat AEs ~250 I might have to sell a NTC3 and get one.
