IFMAR has specific rules for when it rains. I'm not sure if this is in effect:
2.10.6 The lower finals up to the 1/4 finals will not be interrupted due to a wet track or rain.

The latest report is now posted on SGrid Online, along with a photo gallery. We're trying to get a video up by later today; not sure if that will happen.

I was up there today, and it rained real hard for a while. I was told some guys were going out on rubbers to try and get some grip, and there was at least one run-away! They announced they will be running all of the qualifers in the rain that are on today.
Sorry if this is old news

Teddy Syach climbed to 1/4th final hope he can continue all the way to the main final like in brazil 2 years ago.

Some amazing action today.
Started out dry, then began to shower. A few finals run in mixed wet/dry conditions, before the middle of the day ran in exclusively wet (but light rain only) conditions. Lots of scrambling for tyres and it was obvious the difference between those who had and those who didn't. It dried up just before the 1/16th finals and stayed dry through 1/8th finals as well.
UK's whiz kid Kyle Branson did a great job bumping up from both his wet 1/64 and 1/32 finals before his run finished in the 16th as the track dried and he was caught with what seemed to be a wet setup. Alan Savage came from the 1/16th and 1/8th to go to the 1/4 finals on Saturday. Without question however, driver of the day was Jesse Davis. Jesse won his 1/32, 1/16 and 1/8 finals with pure speed. The first was in the wet, others in the dry. Jesse was astonishingly fast and must be feeling confident about the 1/4 finals.
Some great racing today, with much more promised tommorrow.
The only downside is the forecast for showers again tommorrow and sunday. Not good news!
