It's kind of like turbocharging a Kia Rio. Cute idea, but don't spend your hard earned $$ doing up what is essentially a budget basher.

evader
My son ran a 12 turn brushed motor in his Evader and had no problems. Was the spur melting or was it stripping out. I would say go for it. I have the Tekmodel 60A with a 10.5 Novak in a xxx-t and love it. Great way to go for the money. I am thinkng about going to 8.5.

Hi again.
i have some notes regarding the dbx brushless.
So:
1) The motor tends to overheat while the esc stays a little warm but not too hot. (with the 35a esc stays cooler but the 35a overheats)
2) I read somewhere that if you want your brushless motor to run cooler you must disable the drag brake and reduse the punch. Is this true?
3) And one last thing. The 60a Esc gives more power to the motor than the 35A esc? Is it possible that with the 60A the car is faster in performance?
Please help........

i moved the eZrun system to my Cyclone drifter, 100t stock spur with 36T pinions and worked like a charm. slammed lightly into a wall during practice and my novak velociti 6.5 stopped working ... weird. i'm back to using the blue 9T (380) motor which wasn't bad at all in the indoor track (asphalt), heat never was an issue as when it was installed on my TA03 drifter.

Houston, we have a problem
I bought the ezrun 35A ESC with a 13T brushless motor.
I have installed the combo in my 1/12 and guess what. When I press the throttle at full speed it kind of stop but if I release just a little bit the throttle it goes back at full speed.
Also, If I do a complete stop and press the throttle full, it does like a stop/go, stop/go, stop/go...etc and like I said, if I remove the throttle just a little bit, it goes ok.
One of the racer at my track had the same problem but he don't remember what he did to fix the problem
Any idea?
PS: I tried all different programmation with no help.

I'd get the 60A controller and a Trinity 13.5 which is race legal and can be run as a sensorless motor.
The ESC's seem really good the motors, not so much.
I am running a 60A ESC with a Traxxas VXL motor in my DF-03RA and it absolutely hammers on 2s Lipo, I figure the 3s would be insane.

Hi everone, i m a newbie when it comes to electric. I have read the whole of this page and decided to get the ezrun 60a with 5.5t as my first brushless system. I have few q's though. 1) Is there any version of 60a other than v1.1? I m under impression that the v1.1 has cogging issue at start up. 2) What is the difference btwn Bonded and Sintered rotor? Is the hobbywing 5.5t bonded or sintered? If its bonded can i replace it with other brand sintered rotor which available separately? 3) I ll be using it with 2 cells Lipo batts, whats the cutout voltage for it to be set? 4) Can somebody care to explain FDR means and how do you actually calculate it? I ll be using it in an Xpress mini MRR2 by the way. Thanks.
