I didn't notice but I'll bet it is because maybe he had a problem with the front ones due to the front taking a bigger beating that the rear.

The track was brutal on cars, particularly front ends. Probably just a precaution on his part. I run steel on my practice cars for this reason.

I never said he was rude. It just got my wheels to turning about him not letting him take pics with body off. He was nice to my friend. I also thought it was weird because my friend runs a tki3 and stared at it and couldnt tell any difference. Im thinking new parts but what ? If he looked at it close and couldnt tell.

Could have been as simple as he might have been running something that didn't correspond to his sponsors, for example a different brand servo due to a failure or whatever, you never know.

I just looked at the pics on live rc and there were a few of his buggy with the body off. The pics werent real close up. The only thing i could see was an O.S. carb on his orion motor. It also looked like he had the older rear hubs on it that didnt have the offset. Those were the only things i could tell. So who knows why

I have any issue at the moment with my MP9. When using it on its 3rd time out since new I noticed a whining noise starting to happen, checked over, couldn't make out what it was and then not to long later it become much worse. After checking it again I think the noise was coming from the rear diff. I grabbed the centre shaft and noticed that was movement to and from. When I pulled the back end off the buggy and could see underneath the diff case I notice the bevel gear moving around a lot which is what seems to be making the noise as when the bevel gear was pulled against the bearing (further towards centre of buggy) it seems to be making the nosie. Does anyone else require to shim the bevel gear to stop movement?

you could run a shim there but the only time i thought i had to i ended up havind a bad carrier bearing on the output shaft of the diff. i would recomend going through both those first. my bearing looked and worked fine but if you put a side load on the inner race it would slide over about 3mm and then the diff would be able to move side to side. so be sure to really go through them
