Hey guys I have a question regarding the tapered shock pistons. How does the tapered holes affect compression and rebound, does it compress softer and rebound slower or vice versa?

I believe when used correctly (tapered side facing down) they are to allow for a faster rebounding shock.

Thanks for the help man, i guess i'll be able to guide myself from now on. (However I don't understand why would he use Losi oils if he is sponsored by Kyosho...).

So, as I am in Portugal shall is it CST or CPS units?
Another question: what's the part number of those super used shock pistons (the white ones)? Are they suitable for a bumpy and slippery track?

P.S.: Kyosho seems to have one of the best communities here! Everyone is helpful, and that's great.

I hope to be over ur way next fortnight for the night meet. I will run the Cody king setup as a start, it will be the first time I've ran my mp9 on that track. A bit excited
You'll love it

Does anybody know the difference between the Black "SP" pistons and the white pistons? I've been looking for the 1.3 x 8 white pistons for a couple of weeks and they're out of stock everywhere. I was wondering if there was any difference to the black piston. Or if there is an alternative like the AE pistons.

There you go :

Get the whites. Black slow down the shock compression and rebound since the holes are drilled at an angle. I have a set of both and I didn't like the black pistons when I tried them. They would probably work better for fast smooth tracks.
To find some of the white ones -locally !- have you tried Lee (Winner's circle) ?

Thank you Pascal! Makes a lot more sense now.

Lee - I'm looking for the white 1.3 x 8 straight hole pistons. Can't seem to find them anywhere.

Lee,

On your website these 1.3 x 8 hole pistons are showing the correct part number IF347-138, however the description states "1.2 x 8 hole pistons" which may cause some confusion for potential customers.
