Hey guys I have a question regarding the tapered shock pistons. How does the tapered holes affect compression and rebound, does it compress softer and rebound slower or vice versa?
I believe when used correctly (tapered side facing down) they are to allow for a faster rebounding shock.
worlds set up sheet and most other sheets he's using losi oils for the worlds 45FR 35RR Losi oil is measured in wgt where as Kyosho oil is in CST or CPS depending on where you come from, generally speaking over here in the UK when Elliott is running 40/30 losi oils those running Kyosho oils are on 600/400, hope that helps
So, as I am in Portugal shall is it CST or CPS units?
Another question: what's the part number of those super used shock pistons (the white ones)? Are they suitable for a bumpy and slippery track?
P.S.: Kyosho seems to have one of the best communities here! Everyone is helpful, and that's great.

Thanks a lot for that will hopefully have a play with that this wknd.
Getting myself a set of orange springs may also be a good idea for my home track as its very loose...
I hope to be over ur way next fortnight for the night meet. I will run the Cody king setup as a start, it will be the first time I've ran my mp9 on that track. A bit excited

Does anybody know the difference between the Black "SP" pistons and the white pistons? I've been looking for the 1.3 x 8 white pistons for a couple of weeks and they're out of stock everywhere. I was wondering if there was any difference to the black piston. Or if there is an alternative like the AE pistons.

There you go :
White is tapered with straight holes.
Black is tapered with holes drilled at a 45 degree angle.
Get the whites. Black slow down the shock compression and rebound since the holes are drilled at an angle. I have a set of both and I didn't like the black pistons when I tried them. They would probably work better for fast smooth tracks.

Lee,
On your website these 1.3 x 8 hole pistons are showing the correct part number IF347-138, however the description states "1.2 x 8 hole pistons" which may cause some confusion for potential customers.
