I see you've moved to the Mega engines. I believe that similar or the same as the Novarossi P5 or plus 5. Heard they are killer engines. Howsit compare to the STS?

jerseyboy that airfilter will definately restric airflow. it's only a case of looking at it the space that the air has to enter is alot smaller than on a conventional filter. less surface area exposed might mean more protection but it also means less surface area for air to enter.

try gluing the top and bottom parts of the foam on your airfilter nextime when you are preparing a new filter. this way dirt does not enter. use also the offroad motorbike airfilter oil

I did the PBS conversion on my buggy this week and really need some
help.

My problem is that the threads on the plastic upright end about 3mm
before the pivot ball. So when I tighten down the aluminum
nut/retainer there is still a lot of slop in there.

I know this isn't how PBS should be because on the Mugen the nut
threads all the way down to the pivot ball. I also tried to run it
like this and the universal just popped out of the drive cup.

Has anyone else experienced this? If anyone can help it would be
greatly appreciated.

how often do you all replace your 8X16 bearings? i have had my X1 since October 2005, and have only replaced two bearings (wheel hub bearings got fouled). should i go ahead and throw them all out and get some new ones? or check each one and keep the good ones?

Got a small problem possibly with a new FT X1. My kit does not have the 7mm C-Ring's that hold the o-rings into the bottom of the shocks. Does the FT kit not need these, or am I missing them?

I would rebuild/re-grease the car, its well over due. When your at it check the bearings after you've cleaned them out. Spin 'em up to see if you have any other bad bearings. Replace as needed, there's no need to replace a bearing just cause its old or such. If its still tight and runs well keep them in the car, after you've cleaned and re-oiled them of course.

I know my FTE uses those snap rings.

macnkitty-If the bearings feel gritty or sloppy then I would change them but if not then I would run them.It should be fairley obvious if they are worn out.My rear bearings in the hubs went south on my buggy but the rest are smooth as butter.

I know what you talking about. Firstly once you put in the ball, then the ball retainer and then you screw the aluminium adjuster. This is to remove any slop. You will notice that it is only threaded half way. The reason for this that you have to screw it in until the slop is gone. You'll also notice that the adjuster is now a tight fit. It is purposely done so the aluminium does not unwind itself.

You are missing them. The BB shocks has to have them to hold the teflon washer in place. You can use the PRO version C-clips. They are all the same.
