Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.
TROY. Well done.........on both counts!
Just a few hours before the US race - just the International time gap - there was a similarly big race in Europe.
The location was very different - one on each side of the Atlantic, but the results were the same:
1st in each case - Associated TC3.
2nd in each case - Losi XXXS.
3rd in each case - X Ray.
It's starting to form a pattern.
The European race was the DHI cup in Denmark, one of Europe's big ones, with people like Spashett, Drescher, Groskamp, Ahoniemi brothers all there. Young Juho Levanen of Finland won it from pole sitter Benni Grochel of Germany and last year's winner Jilles Groskamp from Holland.
And also as in the US event, the A main had all sorts of marks in it: Associated, Losi, X Ray, Corally, Tamiya, HPI and Schumacher. Three of the top ten cars were TC3s, including Craig Drescher.
If you want a full report check it out at team-orion.com. Go to live/results. It's all there.
Josh Cyrul's car didn't seem too unconventional from the picture you posted a couple of days ago, which makes a change. It obviously worked!
In another thread someone commented on the fact that Kinwald had to have fans on his speedo. Of course the speedos on the XXXS get so much heat from the motors. But I would rather put a fan on than risk roasting my sppedo like the one posted in your picture!
TROY. If I may ask another favour. Can anyone give us a list of equipment (spec sheet) used by the top 10 in mod - car, motor, speedo, cells mainly.
Well done again.
Joe from sunny Malta.

Hi all,
Greetings from my hotel room in Las Vegas!
Sorry I couldn't be there to attend this one; I spent the better part of the last week at a couple of industry trade shows, the Consumer Electronics Show and another unmentionable one (though anybody in tune with Vegas might wager a guess).
Thanks again go to Troy for all his work on covering the race. Well done!
Remember that there is also more information available at Scotty's website, http://www.trackside.com -- be sure to check it out.
I'll be back home & racing again in a few days. See you all then.
