Thanks Pat. I bet you have. Although the free spin in mid air ruined one of my rear tires. Oh well it comes with the territory.

I got lucky. My friend works there so a whole length of decommissioned runway is ours all day

I usually run on the clean side of it but on Sunday the stunt drivers were doing their trials. Didn't wanna run at all but it was too tempting :-)

Nice. I should make friends with Airport staff here in Edmonton. We have an airport downtown doing nothing lol.

It's always worth to make new friends :-)

Although it's a 40mile drive for me from LA. I figured better put money into gas rather than into a-arms and uprights lol

or so. What is involved in the DM1 bumper mod?

Here's some pics of how it is sitting right now. The body is just under level with the chassis, i have a bit of room to trim if needed.
You dont have to run DM1 bumpers to get more clearence, just grind the stock ones flush to the chassis , thats what I did, I do run DM1 bumpers now but only because I like the look of the rear diffuser one, so I run them as a matching set, I dont get max ground clearence like with a SNR chassis, but do get within 2mm of the chassis hitting the ground

But even then I run my DM1 bumpers lower ,and actually ground them down to make it not stick out past the 2mm titanium brackets I made

i like the look of that rear diffuser. does the DM1 bumpers mount to the GTP2e chassis or do you have to custom it up

Two choices buy a SNR carbon chassis or make brackets like mine

Cool, gives me something to tinker with. SNR can keep the chassis.
That would be a completely pointless purchase just to mount a diffuser out back lol. For me anyways.

Fab job it is

If i can put a GTP2e bumper on my ERBE, im sure i can figure out a piece or something to mount the diffuser haha

I run torsion/blade sway bars so I made these
front

rear

If you run regular sway bars you can make something that goes under the diff housing under the front lower pin plate I would then brace it for protection, and keep it from flexing under impact

With the blade/torsion sway bars I would need a slitting saw to do it the way I want.
Use Titanium, stronger then aluminum and lighter then steel, grade 4,it's not hard to work with at all, easier then stainless to me.

RX8 2250kv 24T pinion

4S very fun
6S OMG, there may as well have been jet engines with after burners. Caught a bump and it was hydroplane airtime, OFNA tires without belt....torn to rags. Installed 50sh Sweep slicks, good to go. Garmin Forerunner 301 said 60.3 MPH, I think it could go closer to 80Mph on a better stretch to let it wind out. Eagle Tree logger reports temps aren't even getting hot, mind you it was 6 degrees celsius. The car is deadly, 4PL controls it perfect HS-7945TH steers it with excellent reponse. No complaints.

Default IPANEMA Wide 49mm tires

Does anyone know if the IPANEMA Wide 49mm tires will fit on the front of a GTP2e?

They will fit but you do have to be careful and use EPA to make sure they will not rub your front A arm’s.
