Default spool pully

51,

Have you guys played with a smaller front pully for running a spool to gain back entry steering or do you guys adjust your setup to get it back?

Just wondering...

I found about 80% of what I needed HERE....at least my first $140.00 worth. There are a few parts I couldn't get, one being front carriers but more then I expected was in stock.

Any other well stocked parts links appreciated!

I think we are looking for the same parts! I refered to them as "carriers" as some others refer to them as. Yours likely is the correct term.

Bottom line...anyone that finds a source please post.

Talking

ran the car yesterday (prep'd asphalt)... I'm very impressed, the car out of the box responded very well (once I put on the right tires). I averaged 17-19sec lap times (I'm not that fast of a driver) Then I started to tweak the car, little changes; different camber link locations etc. I wound up returning back to stock, and changin the shocks to #2 pistons, 40WT & red springs all around. That change alone gained me an avg 15-16 sec lap times, my fastest overall was 14.8s

I'm happy with the chassis!!! more consistent than my TC3s, TC4 & FTTC4 (which has never been raced)

First post in this thread.
Just built up the 5 and am getting ready to club race it this weekend.
We run on a smaller mid size outdoor track on sprayed tarmac. Im in the air as to where to start on pinion size. Im rining a Novak V4.5, Stock Pinion and takeoff rubber tires.

Im guessing that a 20T would be a good starting point. Any thoughts on this?

Other then that, the Hightec 5625 fit right in and the kit went together without issue. Needed to drill the antena screw holes out and go back and install the servo saver that the instruction manual forgot to mention.

Im starting with the stock setup on the chassis. 40wt all around ans still flip floping on springs to use. For the springs Im leaning twords a setup sheet from the reedy race spec 19. I Forget who the driver was.

Great thread, learned a lot from it.

I broke one of my 4 degree caster blocks at the last race and it doesn't seem anyone is stocking this item yet. I ended up ordering the 2 degree caster blocks but was wondering how my suspension will change by going with 2 degrees less caster.

Btw, I was bashing the TC5 over the weekend and someone had a radar gun and clocked the TC5 at 32mph. This is with a BL 13.5ss on a 4.1 FDR. I was really amazed that it clocked so high.

Hey Brent, it was nice meeting you and Rick at the Off-Road Nationals this last weekend.

I'm currently running the Stellflue setup on my ride with the standard deck & o-ring mod.... is there another setup you guys have tried for a really low to med grip prepared ashplat surface?

In most cases the ITF chassis and top deck should be the ticket for low-med grip tracks...

the Tamiya track is Medium grip...so the teams setups from the Reedy should be very good....
