Our VTA runs 21.5 with a 5.0 FDR limit. With some getting their 25.5's it looks like a 4.2 FDR will run right with the 21.5's. That is what we intend to do while people switch over is run them together.

We are going to try and find someone with some fairly fresh NIMH cells so we can run a 4 cell 17.5 (4.0 FDR) and compare where we are now compared to the early days. Then we'll try and set a FDR limit on the 25.5 compared to that speed. Well that's the idea anyway.... we'll see how it all pans out.

It will take 5-7 work days from the time we receive your service item. We will replace it with a RMF GTB, with new factory warranty:

I would encourage any VTA racers who have been planning on returning old Novak motors for replacement with Ballistic 25.5s to send them in soon to take advantage of the special 64.00 trade in price. Up until now, this has been the only upgrade to Ballistic that we have offered.

We will be introducing our new Product Trade In Program in the next few days and there will be a few price adjustments as we include all Ballistic motors within this new upgrade program. We will have a "grace period" for a few weeks during which we will accept the old trade-in prices.

It is 64.00. You may be reading the original chart incorrectly.

The upgrade prices are listed in the orange header columns. The upgrade price is on the same line as the motor you select. Upgrading from any non-Ballistic motor to a Ballistic motor would be 69.00. Also, take a look at our 3rd example below the M2 Group section:

Example (UPGRADE): Trade in SS Pro Spec 21.5 for a Ballistic Spec 25.5 for $69

We added this example to address the VTA motor exchange program. We have eliminated the service charge on all trade-in transactions.

do you have a link to a discussion on the ballistic motors for offroad?

trying to find out if it is possible and what change I will notice using a 13mm or even a 14mm rotor on a 13.5 ballistic for 1/10 2wd SCT.

Also, are the parts for the 25.5 motor available separately like the specific color motor sleeve?

And does the 25.5 stator have its own color coding or is it just like the crawler stator? If it does have its own color coding, can you order that specific stator then separately?

Questions concerning rotor use can be addressed by contacting [email protected]. I have seen threads discussing the use of different rotors in various threads, but I don't recall which ones.

All Ballistic motor parts are available---each and every component! Check our store:

Ballistic Motor Accessories

Our 25.5 motors and B. stators are not color-coded, because they are not ROAR approved---all other spec motors have a specified color.

SCAR 25.5 Update - more 200mm Pan Cars are switching to the 25.5 Novak / Havok 2S Sport ESC Combo for both the Road Course and the Oval. The Honda House Prelude CRC GenX10 SCAR 25.5 Test Drive Car is drawing lots of interest as Racers are randomly chosen to pilot the car in competition. The comments have been very positive.

Two Thumbs up to date

I love the SCAR 25.5 class. I had an opportunity to race the Honda House Prelude CRC and was very impressed with the handling of the slower speed and smoothness of the 25.5. Novak has a great Spec system here. The ease of the esc for setup is also a bonus.

Here is a pic of my Xray X10 ready for SCAR 25.5 racing

SCAR 25.5 continues to grow in Ontario Canada. Lou's Speedway just received another 25.5 Shipment and racers are grabbing them up. Two more Racers committed to the class tonight. We're just getting started.

We're testing the 25.5 in Palm Bay, Florida for the VTA rules change in September.

TC3 with Havoc/25.5 combo direct from Novak. Currently using a 4.68 FDR.

Nothing but good times so far. Our track is tight and technical, 80x32 on concrete. So the 25.5 is a great match for this type of track at the FDR I'm using. Car has great kick out of the corners. Speed is a little slow at the end of the 80 foot back stretch, but drafting is encouraged and works! My buddy overshot the sweeper at the end of the straight because of the draft!

Some might argue that this combo is slow. Well, yes it is. However, my driving experience is much more enjoyable now because i can actually think about my lines and focus on driving. We also run RCGT and those speeds are too fast for the newer drivers. I like to think i'm fairly adept at driving, but at those speeds, i feel like i'm holding on for dear life and one bobble is going to screw up the entire run. At 25.5 speeds you can bang some doors and stay on the track.

We're also thinking of using the 25.5 with the VTA rules to run a Vintage Oval program.

Like ElliotCanada writes, Two thumbs up from www.bearrc.com
