I have no more on it. But based on where it was in the article and by the looks of it I would think it was entered in the sports (stock) class by a privateer so I assume a private project car. But maybe someone who is Japanese can tell us more?

I started building mine this afternoon, and I must say, I don't think I've used this many screws in a kit for a long time. Admittedly, I've only really used pan cars for the last year of so and this is a return to 4wd touring, but man... There are that many screws that this car wouldn't fall apart in a typhoon!!!!
I've also had a bit of trouble getting the rear diff to be nice and smooth... I'm guessing that's more a problem with my gear diff building ability rather than the kit though.
