also, any tips on how to remember the different spring rates of the CUDA... (they're all black... kinda hard to mix them together, like i do with other manufacturers springs...)

ran the CUDA yesterday and today...

any suggestions on gettin some rear traction?

i'd also appreciate some tips for a long track with lots of on power sweeping turns...

thanks... - jason

Use the Reds and whites.

they work the best

Hi.
My brother already has a speedway PAL barracuda that he got a while ago, but doesnt dare to use it.
I'm currently considering getting one cos they look like real nice cars. Just wondering though, who well do they go on carpet? Thats where i'll mostly be using it, so does anyone have any experience?
Also what spares would i need to stock up most on.
Thanks

Because of the fairly stiff platform, it should work well on carpet. One thing I know is that if you run foams, you will need the PAL hubs though.

OK Guys;

Now that you've had time to sort out the Barracuda, what are your opinions good or bad.

There are a few of them at the Track and they are doing rather well.

Thanks,

How come i'd need the PAL hubs? do they have extra clearance for 28 and 30mm foams? If i get the R2 where can i get them?

Another thing i was wondering was the flex of the wishbones (or has this been sorted now?) and how they effect the car on carpet.
cheers

Speedtechrc is the BEST place to get an R2. He also has many aftermarket parts, etc. If you don't see what you are looking for, email Steve and he'll be glad to help you out. He has excellent service.

Steve should be able to get just about everything you need for the car, but if he can't for some reason, drop me a PM.

Yes the PAL hubs have the clearance needed to use 28mm foams, the standard hubs can only use upto 26mm wheels.

The standard wishbones are very beefy so you're highly unlikely to break them and they don't seem awfully bendy to me. But there are harder ones available if you want all the stiffness you can get for carpet racing.

the R2 now has much beefier A-arms now.. so there is no fles what so ever...
