LED lights for rc cars
I've been researching and searching for answers for a couple days now, only to get more confused. so any help or links would be appreciated.
I have an HPI Sprint 2 Flux, 7.2v 4200maH battery and the basic HPI led light kit. I'm looking to swap the headlight LEDs out for a different color, but have a couple questions.
What size (3mm or 5mm) LEDs does this kit use?
What volt LEDs do I need that will work with the 7.2v battery? A standard 12v led? 6v-9v led?
Will I need a resistor or can I just wire the new LEDs in no problem?
again, any info or links that may answer these questions would be greatly appreciated, because at this point I'm kinda lost.

Usually the leds are 6volt. The front leds size depends on what your buckets can fit. Usually headlights are 5mm but there is no guarantee

thanks for the reply.
I ended up ordering some 5mm LEDs after measuring my buckets. The LEDs I bought said they were designed for use with rc cars and rated for 6v-9v with no need for a resistor as one is built in.
