weird one that, krapp clearly went across the line, imo the battery fell out when he hit the fence, after crossing the line,so transponder should have still been working,he should get 2nd,but the technical rules might just leave krapp in 3rd,well done to andy, its his best position in a while
itll be interesting to see what the race officials decide

It looks like Krapp went over the line before Moore. His lap didn't register because his battery had come out but that shouldn't matter as everyone can see he beat Moore.
from red rc

HB’s Andy Moore would finish second but only after Kyosho’s Christopher Krapp, who passed the former World Champion coming into the straight on the last lap, went into the final corner too hard knocking the battery from his car just before the loop. Lucky for Krapp only the top three cars crossed the loop a lap earlier just ahead of the 5-minutes so he was able to come away with third.

Well I'm really asking how they determine a tie breaker. Both had 1st and 3rd positions as their counting races.

From ETS site - Having TQ’d the event, Volker would finish second overall on tie break with Hagberg to claim his 10th consecutive podium finishes. ets. redrc. net

The cars there look just like they do at stafford in the UK, push too hard and it gets very sideways! Looks like xray had the best cars for the finals, Hagbergs maybe just a touch too safe to challenge for the win.

Maybe Tamiya should offer their team a little support and a car that doesn't suck.

Is it possible Tamiya is getting out of competitive racing (since dropping offroad already)?

They didn't drop off road, they just cut back on their team. They have 2 new TRF offroad cars on the way.

Thats what I meant, dropping the offroad team. I thought when Lee Martin was dropped, that was the end of the offroad team.
