Well hpi had new bajas at this year toy fair, still no 4x4. They still havent started selling the on road version from last year.

I think if HPI put some R&D into it and design an offroad 4x4 and an onroad platform (like a Supernitro/HB Lightning Street layout) for their next series of gassers, it would shake up the market. A Baja with onroad tires and Mustang body is ok but a true onroad platform would make the other manufacturers take notice.

still find the maverick lineup funny

if it wasn't for redcat here, I wonder if HPI would bring that here with whatever touches they want to it.

As it sits right now, they really really are getting every last bit out of the baja.

HPI's lineup for the US market is more like "we are doing this just to say we are offering products in the US". The Baja is long in the tooth and is due for an update/redesign. The HPI of today really stinks unlike the HPI of the early 2000s when they use to dominate the club track racing scene before Mugen and Serpent.
