The new Jaco's are very good!

The best thing about them is the fact that you don't have to glue them. I put 15 or so runs on them with no peeling!

Very good corner speed! Very stiff but also forgiving in the right places!

Picked up 2 tenths over what I was running before.

dennis,

These are going to be a great selection of tires this winter.. I am sure jack will get on here and tell you all the compounds...From what i have heard I think you will be able to dial your car in with tires more this year then any other year... there will be many compounds ....

Here is some additional information that Jack posted:

We have total control over the selecting, laminating, cutting, glueing, mounting, truing, and packaging process. No one in the industry has control over the foam production process. We are one of only a few companies in the United States who actually produce their own foam tires so in that sense we do have total control over the tire manufacturing process. Just like a car manufacturer does not control the production of aluminum or graphite, we cannot regulate the production of the raw materials.

All these numbers represent a Shore Type C Asker scale. If you have a Maxmod or similar durometer you will probably get a 5-10 point higher reading. This is fine, as long as you use the durometer to COMPARE the tires YOU run. Do not try to compare to other drivers or to our numbering system. The Maxmod is not consistent or accurate enough compared to a $600 Shore Type C. It does, however, serve it's purpose of grading your own tires in relation to each other very well.

The JACO Prizm's are awesome!!!

I just got through running my first race weekend on 2-sets of these and I did not get a single chunk, peel, or split on these wheels/tires. I pulled them out of the box and went racing, no truing needed.

Handling was more predictable than the 26mm 2-stage, traction was great, and the car's handling was a little more forgiving when needing to make a quick correction.

Thanks JACO, you finally got it right for us TC guys!

I first heard about these when a buddy mentioned them to me.

Where do you find more info about these?

Went to the JACO website and didn't see anything about the Prizms.

Yeah, sorry about that. We are revamping our site (less Flash so it is easier to update) and it is taking longer than anticipated.
I'm glad they are working well for you. We tried to come out with a tire that was everything the TC guys wanted at a price that keeps the class thriving.
