Gluing tires without CA...
Are there any non-toxic alternatives out there?
Thanks

I don't know about you, but I hate that ****. Any other non-toxic possibilities would be most welcome.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think bead locks and pre-mounts are available for 1/10. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

"CA" stands for cyanoacrylate. Superglue and Krazyglue, as well as hobby-grade stuff like Zap, Tower Hobbies, and etc, have their own blend(s).
I really wouldn't recommend using any of the stuff you buy at the super market though, stick with good brands like Pace or Zap. There is a tremendous amount of sheer force placed on the tires from the rims.
CA is not dangerous, so long as you use an applicator (the long skinny nozzle). One precaution, sometimes it pays off to wear some latex glove while you're using it. I've spilled CA on my finger before and got a first to second degree burn with it. Part of why it's so sticky is it reacts with the two surfaces that are to be glued, and part of the product of this reaction is heat... When reacting with your skin, it generates a TON of heat. A drop or two won't hurt you, but a slight spill on your hand or fingers can scald you...

If someone's quibbling over the toxicity or CA that's hardly any more toxic than plastic, yet is willing to overlook the batteries and fuel we're using, perhaps this hobby isn't for them.
Never thought about using shoe goo , but imagine that would get very messy .
LOL --- falls under the category of "if it actually worked someone would have long ago done it, and since no one admits to trying it --- it don't work."

Use a glue gun to put a bead of glue around your wheel. Heat your oven to 250 degrees. Place the tire over the wheel and bake it for a few minutes. The heat from the oven will melt the glue and set the tire in place.
When you need to unglue your tires, just pop them back in the oven for a few minutes.
