Rossi and Piccos. The STS hand-mods are pretty decent for the price. My bet for off-the-shelf fastest non-Nova based engine would be a Collari Rossi. Probably in the same league as a Rody RB or NovaMega MS.

Picco's never idle for crap, I'm currently running a Sirio 5 port .12 in my NTC3, its a real quality motor, idles forever and runs cool with no flameouts, tunes like a O.S. along with alot of power through the rpm range.

Fantoms make a pretty paper weight, thats about it.......

I won't say more than I've noticed more people have problems with motors other than OS and Nova based ones. These seem the fastest and the most consistent. (notice I used the word, seem so don't kill me for an opinion)

Just something I think about every once in a while.

From what I can tell, the Sirios are the next best motors. I don't know about that carb though.

The way I see it: If they are sharing parts with Novarossi then they are novarossi based, but as far as I know they aren't so they are not novarossi based.

ok

well to me, the sirio is more like a novarossi because of its carb.(11mm outer dia.)

it also performs pretty wells as of what i have seen on the track
