I thought I would post ths because I took my engine apart to get ready to put in the new bearing that I had ordered and I came across the play that was noticeable and I posted here for some peoples responses.

Do you mean the crank shaft pin where the con rod hole sits in?

That rod is DONE, time for a new one.

EDIT--I'd replace the pin, as well.

It's shot, period. It needs a piston, sleeve and rod at least. Crank pin probably gone too. Buy a new engine. They are inexpensive and disposable.

You need a new rod. I would also get a new wrist pin and eclips while you are there. May want to try and contact customer support and see if they can help you out.

Motor specs are Pretty Dead On now a days with all the technology we have access to....and to call out the mfg on a defect that was more then likely user error isn't the right way to go about it.
