I recently witnessed something I thought I'd never see, people setting their offroad cars' tires on fire. Anyone else do this and why.

Setting tires on fire seems to soften the carcas and make the tire better in some conditions, although this is not often done. Mostly I have seen it done on clay type tracks.

Most new tires, especially Losi Pink compound tires still have mold release residue on them in the package. By esentially lighting them on fire, you are burning that off, making the tires a little softer, but also much more consistent.
