Default Lipo

I have a Venom 50C 5000mah Hard case already. Should get another one of those? I was going to buy a max amps 5250 mah true 100c lipo but someone from URC on youtube did a review and they said it wasn't worth the money. What do you think about the one i have already?

in my opinion max amp is most power full lipo you can get on the market. its not worth the money but it will give you the punch and acceleration.

I'm interested to know how you guys gear your car when you go to a new track... I understand the "basics" of gearing ... I just don't have a logical method other then ask someone in the pits for a starting point and then temping my motor... as long as I'm below 140ish I'm done... There has to be a more scientific ( if that's the correct word ) for gearing that sweet spot...

To break it down into the most "Basic" terms.

I gear to the best average lap time for the full race distance, nothing more, nothing less.

Fast lap means nothing if your car is fading towards the end, or overheating.

Being able to "guess" a good gearing starting point or a gearing range, comes with experience. When I get to a track, I have a rough idea of where I am going to end up in gearing. Then I gear a bit below that (a bit higher FDR) and starting adding teeth until I find the gearing, where I get the most power, good temps and little to no fading.
