From my point of view, you sould'nt have problems with this pole holder, the only disadvantage is that this one is not adjustable and the carbon one it is,, and it looks better

Nice Car!! I like what you did to the foam bumper,, in a hard impact the bumper will not loose any broken parts that can mess with the steering parts.....

Pokemon, I really like your adjustable rear sway bar. How do you like it rather than the wire type for the rear? Is this an option that's avaliable to the public through serpent? Any modifications needed to make it fit? Thx

Hi Devin,

The adjustable rear sway bar is an optional part available to the public. Not sure of the part number though. Dont have it in my reference sheet.

Devin,

The part number for the adjustable anti-roll bar kit is #SER-909335. I live in Miami (home to SerpentUSA), and I saw these guys running this setup more than 6 months before the Impulse Pro was officially released.

I thought I should pass along that at the time, they told me that instead of using the adjustable blades that come in this kit, they were using a pair of Impulse Front Male anti-roll blades (#SER-909216). The reason for this is that the adjustable anti-roll bar kit was originally designed for the Impact/Vector. Because of this, the blades in the kit, even at full soft, are as stiff as the standard 3.0mm anti-roll bar. Using the Impulse blades allows the anti-roll bar to have settings that are in a better range for the Impulse/705.

By the way, the one really big gripe I'd say that I have with myTSN is that the the cross-reference links (particularly with "optional" parts) is VERY incomplete.

Hope this info helped.

The part # for that Rear anti roll bar is 909335, but you have to use the male blades from the front anti roll bar part #909216 ,, Good luck!!

i can't remember the part # for the rear adustable roll bar (in fact i'm lousy with part #) but it comes in a set with the blades. i'm still experimenting with it.

as for the taped bumper, the idea was actually someone else..

Is there any kind of conv. kit for a streetspec into a 705? Are the cars that very different?

There is a conversion kit (801182) to change the Impulse PRO to 705. However due to the respond and the price itself, Serpent has decided not produce these conversion kits anymore. The conversion kit actually includes the following;

Conversion set to convert all chassis parts of an older type Impulse PRO into the new 705 version, like chassis, carbon radio tray, fuel tank, battery holder, anti roll bar, various mounts and fixing parts, full manual and spare parts list of the 705

Anyway, it's pretty complicated to get the Streetspec to the same as the 705. You need to change the Impulse Streetspec to an Impulse PRO before you can change it to 705. The Impulse PRO (as with 705) has front and rear shock towers. Spacers on the rear uprights, one way front etc. All in all, it's not worth to do the conversion as it will turn out to be about the same price or more expensive than a brand new 705 kit... In any case, the conversion kit does not come with the Centax II clutch and the new lightened 2 speed gearbox. So you need to get these separate which will cost you a bomb.

What you could do is to keep the Streetspec as spares. The arms, knuckles, bearings, front bulkheads are the same. One useful item on the Streetspec is the front gear diff which you can use on the 705. Useful for smaller and more technical tracks.

Good luck and let us know what happens
