Boys & Girls, our 2008 Final Race is a GO!!!!

Only this time, it will be held at the grand & prestigious Persada Johor International Convention Centre in conjunction with the Autoshow 2008 whereby PC Fair JB will be held concurrently!!!! Expect some 60-70K visitors during the week!!!

There will be real drift demos by the Team TOYO TIRES and hopefully some hot babes hanging around....

Venue: Hall 102, Level 1, Persada Johor ICC (same floor with KFC)
Date: 20 & 21 December 2008 (Sat: free practice & fun race, Sun: race day)
Setup: Indoor Carpet Race (orange in colour)

Race Class:
1) TT01 Stock
2) Tamiya M-chassis
3) Open Modified 4WD
4) TT01 Enduro - 1hr (Sat)
5) Mini Enduro - 1/2 hr (Sat)
6) Drift Demos (non competition class)

Entry fee: RM75.00 each class, registration and payments could be made at Total Hobby JB (Tel: 07-238 9233 / 016-787 5833), Stargek Singapore and Stargek Malaysia.

AMB20 transponder system will be used, hence NO personal transponder will be catered for.

- 540 silver can (Mabuchi / Johnson)
- Tamiya Standard ESC
- NiMh sub c 6cells (Max: 4600Mah) - stick / saddle
- Spec Tires (Available at Total Hobby)
- Open Body Shell (190mm)
- NO Traction Compound & Tire Warmer
- Min weight: 1500gm w/o transponder
- Min height: 5mm

B) M-Chassis
- Tamiya 2WD M-Chassis
- Tamiya Black Motor / Silver Can
- Open Brushed ESC
- NiMh sub c 6cells (Max: 4600Mah) - stick pack only
- Tires - as long as for M-Chassis
- Open Body Shell (For M-Chassis only)
- Traction Compound & Tire Warmer allowed
- Min weight: 1200gm w/o transponder
- Min height: 5mm

C) Open Modified
1) All chassis must be 4WD sedans
2) All cars must have 4-wheel braking and four-wheel drive at all times. No one-way bearings allowed.
3) Traction compounds are legal. Setting fire to tires for traction is prohibited.
4) Tire warmers are legal.
5) Drivers have the option of running 5-cell NiMH, 6-cell NiMH or any ROAR approved hard case LIPO.
6) Minimum car weight: 1450 grams for 5-cell Nimh equipped cars, 1525 grams for 6-cell Nimh equipped cars, and 1525 grams for approved 7.4V LiPo equipped cars.
7) B/Shell: 190mm 4-Door sedans.
8) LiPo battery voltage must not exceed 8.44v when measured in tech before the race.

D) Endurance Rally TT01 (1hr 1man team)
- Tamiya TT01 2WD / 4WD

- 3packs x NiMh sub c 6cells (Max: 4600Mah) - stick / saddle
- Open Tires

E) Mini Endurance (1/2 hr 1man team)

- Body shells - Open to any brands

However the restrictions is more flexible in the mod class. Perhaps you may consider joining the MOD instead?

Dear All,

For once, I would like to set the record straight, I do not own / have shares within TOTAL HOBBY. The owner operator is Mr Asrar. TOTAL HOBBY has been in existence for the past 15 years and has / have been promoting various brands, particularly TAMIYA & KO given the great product quality.

We hobbyist, has been lending a helping hand to TOTAL HOBBY for the sake of promoting an "ALMOST DEAD" hobby for the past two years and the response from every1 has been great. There are few 'UNSUNG HEROES" I'd like to mention, great fellows like Azman, Vic, Burn, Eric, Han and few other chaps too has been contributing. We didn't do it for any monetary gain. All of us did it just for the FUN FACTOR!

And the races organised is meant for every1 to enjoy and I sincerely hope that you guys do take your time off to join us this time.

Fuhyooooooooooo...Total Hobby, you did it again. Can't wait to race on the best track ever built at the grandest place ever allowed to...with 20,000 spectators...along side the autoshow and PC fair.....HMMMMMMMM I angkat topi lah...

1st you manage to revive the dead (RC Car Hobby)
2nd you manage to build your own arsenal of hard core racers (TAMIYA)
3rd you manage to have all the races indoors at the best mall in JB
I think that will be the end...but you have manage to get us to PERSADA...
