Whats the best electric motor?

I have an HPI sprint that has a 17 turn motor in it. When I raced it i got in 2nd, only because the 3rd guy had a micro car. The 1st place guy smoked me. I dont know what he had under the body, but I know that a faster motor will defenitely help since I have geared the motor out as much as possible. I am about to get a esc that can handle an 8 turn motor, but dont know what motor to get for under $80. Epic or Trinity? Peak or Orion? What motor would be suitable for me?

I have run the Peak Vantage (same as orion V2) and a Reedy Kr for the last 2 seasons of mod, both 8 turns. I think the Reedy makes marginally more power, especially in the mid range. The peak/orion, though, would be my choice for 95% of racing, because it takes so little maintenance. Last week I melted the ESC leads off the endbell, and from the looks of it I wont even retrue the comm. Its quite maintenance free.

But for a big race I might go back to the Kr, it has a little psycological edge, to me at least. Maybe its the sound.

I havent heard a good thing about a Trinity motor from anyone Ive raced with lately. Stick with whats winning races, and thats the V2/Vantage and Kr

at the reedy race trinity and reedy had to buy v2s because there motors couldnt last the race so i guess v2 would be a pretty good choice
